Here at Belize Diving Adventures Limited we want to ensure the safety of our guests, guides and team members.
Following the BTB Covid regulations, these are the steps we will take to ensure your safety:
NOTE: Face masks are mandatory at all times, with the exception of during the in-water portion of the tour.
PICK UP:
Upon arrival at the designated pick-up sight, the Boat captain(s) will be wearing a mask. If a Guest does not have on a mask, they will not be permitted onboard. The Captain(s) will identify themselves and give a brief introduction about the tour, boat and safety regulations. The Captain will remind guests to space out and keep their distance. There are signs on the boat to remind guests of this as well.
DOCKING:
After Guests have been picked up, they will be escorted to the docking area. Here, the boat will park to allow guests to check in at the Dive shop and get fitted for their proper gear. At the dock there will be reminders to keep their distance and Temperature check will be done before entering the Dive shop.
CHECK IN AND GEAR:
At the check in counter the Front Desk Personnel will be wearing a mask and will remind guests to enter one at a time and sanitize their hands as they check in, pay and get sized for their gear. Once that is complete the Guest may return to the boat with their gear and wait until everyone is in and properly spaced out.
TOUR:
Tour Destinations take roughly 10 to 40minutes max depending on where the tour is being conducted. The Tour Guide/ Dive Master will give a brief orientation based on the location and the manner in which the tour will be conducted. Only after the Tour Guide/ Dive Master has given the all clear then the first Guest may remove their mask and begin making their way into the water. This process will be repeated one by one; no two guests should have their masks off.
DROP OFF:
After the tour is complete, Guests returning to the boat from the water must put on their face masks. All rental gear will be placed in the sanitized rinsing container to soak. Once everyone is on board and all gear, with the exception of BCD’s, Regulators and Wetsuits which will be placed in the back, is in the rinsing container. The Boat captain will escort the Guest to their designated drop off area.
GEAR AND BOAT SANITATION:
Once all Guests have been dropped off, the gear will be placed into the appropriate section of the rinse tub, where it will be soaked for five minutes in bleach. After which they will be thoroughly cleaned and rinsed in fresh water before being allowed to dry and put up for storage. The boats will be thoroughly sanitized and hosed down.
