We spent 5 days of our 7 day visit to the island diving with Belize Diving Adventures. We were diving with our young kids (11 and 12) and had great dives and experiences with everyone. The kids left comfortable divers despite fairly rough conditions. The reef is very close literally a 5 minute boat ride off the dock with surface intervals back on the dock. We recently vacationed in Hopkins and were very happy with the location of the reek off the island. The reef off Hopkins is 45 min to an hour off Hopkins. The reef was awesome and full of nurse sharks, rays, grouper and turtles. They limit the size of the group – the most we had on a dive was 10 divers.
We will return to the island and wouldnt dive with anyone but Belize Diving Adventures.
